Singer Peter Lipa, a legend of the Slovak jazz and blues scene, returns to the Jazz Dock.
75 years in full swing was the title of the concert at which Peter Lipa celebrated his round birthday. Thousands of spectators and many musicians and singers came to greet the legend of the Czechoslovak music scene. However, 2018 also had other highlights for him. After 15 years, he sang at the 44th edition of his Bratislava Jazz Days. During the year, he attended almost 150 concerts and performances. As part of the Prague one, he gets to sample from the album Dobré meno, which contains thirteen new original songs. It presents a diverse production and total commitment of all musicians led by Peter Lipa. Working with quality songwriters over a long period of time has helped Lipa crystallize music whose cornerstone is blues, but there is no shortage of R&B, groove, jazz or vocalese and chanson. His band is made up of excellent young Slovak musicians, including the unique saxophonist Radovan Tariška. Fifty years of musical experience is a great school of life for Lipa, which he uses in the club atmosphere in such a way that the audience becomes an important part of the enthusiastic concert atmosphere.
